office re-design in Rose Bay with Art-Deco overtones
The existing interior had not been touched for nearly 30 years and with former tenants relocating, the shell was very delapidated , services in need of upgrade and an overall re-fresh essential.
New services such as air-conditioning, electrics and lighting were incorporated and new Bathroom and Kitchen areas totally redesigned.
The addition of black glazed tiling and a high-key red entry door enhanced the relatively modest street presence of the tenancy.
The whole interior also had a safety and security upgrade including new compliant stairs, smoke detection and egress solutions.
Aesthetically, within the interior, we employed a warm-white colour pallette with judicious feature colours, a slightly jazzy-toned carpet tile and also designed a lighting layout to respect the ornate feature ceilings while vastly improving lighting standards.
Outcome : A very neglected, unloved interior has been given a new lease of life, giving an Art-Deco past a revitalised expression and maintaining the investment longevity of the property for the buildings owners.
Footnote : Invaluable assistance regarding the tenancy requirements was provided by Julie Feller, Principal at Century 21 Real Estate, Rose Bay https://rosebay.century21.com.au/
